I am a big fan of Hongkong Egg Noodles. Since I’ve lived here in San Diego, it is hard to find the good one that taste exactly like the original one in Hongkong, but I found it! “Minh Ky”, is my hero.
The little shop, Minh Ky, based on vietnamese food. They also serve chinese food. My goal here is, egg noodles. The noodles and soup are very good together, and the price is unbeatable. You’d get a big bowl of soup and noodles with a separate plate of roasted duck, if you ordered Roasted Duck Egg Noodles, which costed you just $6.95 (last time I went there it’s up to $7.15)
They also have congee for breakfast but unfortunately they serve it all day long 🙂 with Chinese doughnut. The doughnut for me I think it is just so-so. I wouldn’t order it again next time.
BBQ Pork with dumpling egg noodles is still the champion for my husband. He always order this menu. It is cheaper than roasted duck plate, just $6.45.
The dumpling is sooooo-Goood, even though we know it for facts that they are homemade-frozen but even they were, still taste so delicious. The pork, tendered, tasteful, MSG expected. The fresh veggies that they throw in his bowl, can’t get fresh enough though, I loved the chives.
This bowl, without wonton or dumpling, look at the pork! full of fat! hehe.
They have Vietnamese coffee that is a “Must” have. Last time I bought my ice coffee to-go after finish our lunch. It was sooooo deli-ciuos!!!
Minh-Ky is located at 4644 El Cajon Blvd. San Diego CA 92115
It is easy to find the shop but hard to find parking. I wouldn’t recommend to go this place in a prime time.
